I am so excited to announce that I've been invited to tour in the UK and Kenya this May! In the UK, we're partnering with Young Life UK, and in Kenya, we are partnering with Africa Inland Mission. The Lord is just opening doors in amazing ways! My family will go with me as well, which is such an incredible blessing.
We're posting a page this weekend with all the details, but a quick overview is that we will spend a week in the UK touring to support Young Life UK, and then we will go to Kenya for three weeks. In Kenya, we'll be hosted by the Rift Valley Academy in Kijabe, which is a school for children whose parents are serving with Africa Inland Mission. We will also get to do concert ministry in Nairobi and Mombasa, and work with AIDS orphans in a day school in Kijabe (many of you know that this is a cause the Lord has really laid on my heart). We will also get to minister with the Maasai tribe.
If that weren't enough, as many of you know, I am a World Vision artist, and I have been sponsoring children through them since I was 17. We sponsor several children in East Africa, and one of them, Abassa, lives near where we are touring in Kenya, and we will get to meet him! This is a child we have been sponsoring and praying for for 8 years or more. I never thought I would have an opportunity to meet one of our WV children, and I'm just overwhelmed with how good God is!
We'll put up a page with links to all these sites in the next couple of days. Make sure to sign up for our email newsletter - we'll be blogging on the progress of the trip, and also from the UK and Kenya, so you can keep up with what the Lord is doing!

Many of you have been asking how my appearance on the Canadian television show, 100 Huntley Street went. We are still working on getting it up here on the site - it's a very long segment - but I'm happy to report that it went really well, and thank you for praying for me! I was quite nervous that morning, and I never get nervous! But the Lord is good, and He calmed me down before the segment. By the time I got to makeup, I was feeling good, and the people on the show were just wonderful. It was very obvious to me that they are so sincere in their desire to see people come to Christ. That was such a blessing to me! I did two songs and a fifteen minute or so interview, and we'll probably have that up here in the next couple of weeks.
In other news, we've been booking a lot lately, the Florida tour in January, many women's speaking and singing events and Christmas shows, concerts, it's been so fun to see the Lord opening many doors for us. I also have a new single out right now in the US, "Hands to the Sky", and would love for you to call your local station and ask for it! In Canada, we have two singles out to stations right now - "Flowers of the Field" and "Hands to the Sky".
I did two retreats this week up in Michigan, and also did guest worship at a church there, and am still so struck by the beauty of God's people. We met incredible people who just love our Lord. I am so, so grateful to be in this family!

Hey, guys, I feel like there's been a lot of good news lately, and I'm excited to share it! Just found out that I've been in the top 20 for the last several weeks on the Top Indie Chart for radio play on the national chart in Christian Radio Weekly. I don't even know how to thank God for what He's doing - sometimes life is a little surreal.
Just wanted to share with you. Praise God! He's awesome, and all the glory to Him!

Hi, all, just excited to let you know that my new album is being featured in the March issue of CCM magazine in their Buzz Factor column. I was so excited to hear that! So rejoice with me, and check it out, God is amazing!
2008-01-07
The new CD is out and has really been going well - thanks to all of you who have contacted us to tell us what it's meant to you!
We are very excited to have partnered with Creative Promotions who will be handling our US radio promotion, and with Phoenix 5, who will be handling our Canadian radio promotion. The US promotion starts this week, and the Canadian promotion has begun and is going well, so listen for "Beauty from Pain" or "Be His Hands" on a station near you!
I'm leaving on Saturday to do a Florida tour, and can't wait to see some sunshine - it's been really cold here in Ohio. I'm praying that God will really use the time to His glory!
2007-11-11
We are so excited to let you know that the new CD is on its way! There will be a release concert and party at Faith Covenant Church on December 1st in Columbus, Ohio at 7 pm, and if you're around there, it'll be the place to be!
We've added some clips from the new music to the player, and you can also hear clips of everything in the store here. As well, we're running a pre-order sale, and I'd be happy to sign anything - just send us a little note with the order.
This really has been the most fun to make, and I'm so happy with the result. God is so good!
2007-09-28
Well, it's official! The new CD is coming out on December 1st! It's called Finding Beauty and I really can't wait to share it with everyone. Working with my producer, Jon, on this has been such a blast and a blessing too! We'll be finishing up the recording in the next several weeks.
I'll post some samples soon, as well as a pre-order form in the next couple of weeks. God is so good!

Hey, everybody, I'm so excited to share with you all my newest radio report (listed below) - these are the stations who have recently added "Let There Be Light" to their playlists. My music has officially gone international! Can I tell you how cool it is to know that people are listening to my music in South Africa?! There are another 20 or so stations playing me not on this list, but it's a different list - if you're playing me, please shoot me a message so I can include you.
If these stations are near you, I really need your help. Would you call and request my song? And if I'm not being played where you are, would you call and ask them to pick me up? I would appreciate it so much!
Also, in the next week or so we will be sending out "Rescue Me" for radio stations to pick up - please support this by calling and requesting that song. You have no idea how much impact you can make - it only takes a few calls to really help an artist along, and I would be grateful.
Thank you so much, rejoice with me!!

Well, the summer is flying by, and it's been wonderful so far. We've got about a third of the Earthen Vessels Tour left to go, and it's been such a privilege to work with the other artists - it's so fun to partner with other people who love the Lord.
Also, I've started work on my next album which we hope to have out in the late fall, and I'm so excited about the direction it's going. God has been so good to me in connecting me with a wonderful producer, and I love the sound. I can't wait to share it and see what God will do with it!
Also, I've been fortunate enough to sign with a wonderful new agency, Destiny Management, who will handle a lot of my booking and publicity. This is another area in which I'm excited to see God opening doors.
Thanks for visiting, and don't forget to sign up for the email update - that's the best way to keep up with what's happening with the ministry. God bless you!

Hi, everybody, I'm off today for Indianapolis because the Earthen Vessels Tour starts there tomorrow - I'm so excited to meet these wonderful artists I've been working with for the last few months! It's so funny that we all feel like we know each other, but we'd all better dress like our promo pics or we won't recognize each other, lol, it's all been by conference call.
We are so honored to have this tour sponsored by Compassion International, Indieheaven, and SIT Strings - what a wonderful blessing.
We'll be all over the Midwest, so if that's your neck of the woods, look us up and come out to a show! If you get there, come and say hi - I love to meet people I "know" online. You can find my schedule by going to "links" and hitting either my myspace or shoutlife pages.
God bless, and please be praying that the Lord would really use this tour for His glory!
P.S. The official site if you want it is earthenvesselstour.com. :)

We had a fabulous tour to Florida - thank you to everyone who was praying for our trip! We met so many wonderful people, and were asked back to every place we performed. It was so humbling and beautiful to see God move, and how could we not have fun in such beautiful places with such perfect weather? It was way too busy, but in a good way.
The concert at Long Street went really well last week. I'm really looking forward to going back there with the Earthen Vessel Tour in July.
It's been really nice to have a few weeks off now before June, since that month is really booked. Also, I've been having some trouble with my eyes, a very odd virus that I picked up on tour. I hope that it will clear before my upcoming concerts, and I really appreciate your prayers for that.
If you're in Northeast Ohio, I'm giving a worship seminar in Warren with Tia Ciferno on June 9th - come out and join us! It's going to be a great day. Also, if you're in central Ohio, send your kids out to be pirates with us at our VBS June 18-22 - I'll be leading the singing and the play. And as always, you can see my full schedule by going to links and checking out my shoutlife or myspace pages.
God bless you!

I'm leaving today on a tour of Florida. I'd love it if you'd be praying for our tour, that God would be glorified in every way, and for safety and health while we're traveling. If you want to see the schedule, go to "links" and check out my shoutlife or myspace page - they're all listed there!
Also, if you're in central OH, don't forget to get your tickets for the concert at Long Street Studio on May 12th! This is a full concert, and tickets are available here by clicking on "store". I hope I see you there!

Hey, all, I made a new children's album called "Seeking God's Treasure". We just put it up for listening, download, and pre-order, so go and check it out! It's a short, pirate-themed album made for our church's summer Adventure Week (VBS). It has five scripture memory songs straight from the NIV, so it's a great way to teach your kids (and yourself!) scriptures about God's treasures from the Bible. It also includes a theme song and a roll call song for the classes.
I'd love to hear what you think of it, and if your church's VBS or children's program is interested, please let us know because bulk pricing is available. Thanks, and arrrrrr, matey!

Thanks so much for visiting my page. Please take a second to sign up on our new email list (click above this post) so we can keep you up to date on any concerts that are happening in your area!
I was picked up on 25 new radio stations this month, which I'm very excited about. When I get the specific stats, I will post the stations so you can see if there's one near you.
I'm going to be featured in 3 magazines in the next month. Two of them come out in the next two weeks in the magazines' March issues. I will have a feature article, and be on the cover of Looking Up Magazine, and have a feature article in Inspire Us Magazine. I am also going to be featured in an internet magazine, and will post the specifics of that when I know the run date.
My mini-tour in Florida is starting to shape up as I add dates. If you have any ideas for me for places to perform in FL, I'd love to hear them!
In the next few days, we will go live on an update to our store here on the site which will allow you to download individual songs as well as the whole album in MP3 format. I'm excited to have this new option, and it will also let you preview all the songs.
I just want to say again how grateful I am for all of your prayers and support of this ministry - I really appreciate you!
2007-01-10
Happy 2007! Thanks for visiting my site. There's a bit to report lately...
I'll be coming to FL at the end of April and beginning of May, and to SC in mid-July and am busy booking these mini-tours. If you have ideas for me, or are a church looking for an event, please let me know! I'd love to be included.
Also, I have a few radio interviews coming up in the next few months. I'll update here when I get exact times, but I'm looking forward to that.
If you're in central Ohio, don't forget to come and see me on Jan. 27th at 7 at Karl Rd. Christian Church in Columbus. I'm giving a full concert that night, and it should be great fun. For more info on my schedule, check my myspace site @ http://myspace.com/shawjennifer.
We are looking at adding a feature here so you can leave an email to get tour updates and info about the music, but before then, if you'd like to be added to the list, just send an email to info@jennifershawmusic.com. We'd love to hear from you!
I expect to have individual downloads available on the site soon, so keep checking back, but you can always find those at itunes and many other digital retailers as well.
Thanks for checking in, and for praying for this ministry, we appreciate you all so much!

Well, we're definitely into the Christmas season now, my favorite, and the busiest time of the year. Seems like a music marathon at my church with all the special music and rehearsals, but I love it.
Speaking of Christmas, I put up my Christmas song (titled, very originally, "A Christmas Song") on my myspace page. Go and check it out if you have a minute at http://www.myspace.com/shawjennifer. If you're on myspace, make me a friend! I'd love it.
By the way, if you didn't know, there are links to all of my sites, as well as several of the retailers who carry my music, my dad's website and testimony, and Ryan's site under "Links". That way you can find these things!
"Rescue Me" is up at #9 now on the Indieheaven radio chart. Thanks for all the support in getting me to the top 10, and don't forget that you can vote every day! You can get to indieheaven by clicking the link on the left side of my home page (or check "Links").
Also, if you're in a voting mood, please vote for me for the Indieheaven Momentum Awards. This would be awesome for me because the grand prize is a really large grant to record the artist's next album, and I could really use that! You can find the ballot on their home page, but remember, you only get to vote once from any computer, so read it carefully! I'm up for Song of the Year (Be Still), Album of the Year (Be Still), Female Vocalist of the Year (um, me), Contemporary Artist of the Year (still me), and Inspirational Artist of the Year (yep, that would still be me), and you can just go and select me for all of those categories, if you so choose. So go vote!
Also wanted to let you all know that we are working on our store here to allow people to download individual songs, so that would mean you could download it here directly, and we could also offer "Godspeed" and "The Christmas Song" and some of my other new music that is not yet on an album, so keep an eye out for that.
In addition, my music is now available at itunes and many other digital distributors, as well as CDbaby.com, indieheaven.com, and here. We're still working on national distribution, but if you're in central Ohio (coincidentally where I am!) you can also get the CD at all Moments With Majesty stores, and In His Presence (Gahanna, OH).
Thanks, and I hope each of you has a wonderful Christmas remembering God's greatest gift to all of us, Jesus.

Just a quick update. My song "Rescue Me" is currently at #27 on the Indieheaven radio chart - please head over there and vote for me! I'd love that song to go to the top. You can get there by clicking the Indieheaven graphic under the track list on this page and then click "radio" and the orange radio tower graphic. Thanks!
I would love it if you would pray with me about some possibilities for national distribution that have come up. We would love to get distribution, and would really like to be in God's will in everything, so would you please pray for our discernment and wisdom, and that we would desire God's will above everything, and that if it is His will, the deal would happen. Thanks again!
I am booking dates for the spring, so if there is some way I can minister in your area, let me know, I'd love to hear from you!
2006-10-05
We've just added my new song "Godspeed" to the site - please take a listen and let us know what you think. Just click on the link right above this.
Also, my song "Rescue Me" has been added to the indieheaven radio chart. Please head over there and vote for me! All songs start at the bottom of the chart, and "Rescue Me" has already jumped over 70 places, from #153 to #75 in only 3 days! That is amazing to me. Thanks for voting, I'd love for this one to go to #1! Just click on the indieheaven link under the track list, click "radio" at the top, and then on the orange radio tower graphic and find me.
On that subject, before my song "Let There Be Light" timed off the indieheaven chart, it stayed as the #1 Adult Contemporary song on the chart for 7 weeks, and was the #3 song overall.
I'm booking concerts and worship leading for the year now, so please contact me if I can worship with you at your church or event - I'd love to come!
2006-09-13
Just some new and exciting stats to post here. "Let There Be Light" is now the #1 Adult Contemporary song on the Indieheaven radio chart. It's also the #4 song of any genre. And on The Spirit Radio, I have been either in the top 3 or the top most requested artist for the last several weeks. "Be Still" and "Let There Be Light" are both in rotation over there. Please head over to either of these places and vote for me, or request my songs - thanks!
Many of you have asked about getting my new song "Godspeed". I'm working on getting it up for download to support ALS research, so stay tuned for info on that.
I would like to thank the many, many people who have written with their support and prayers for me and my family at this time. We appreciate it so much, and God has really answered those prayers, as we have felt Him very near to us, even in our grief. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for praying for us!

My wonderful, hilarious, loving, strong, brave dad went to be with the Lord yesterday, August 30th, 2006. I am so happy for him that he is not in pain anymore, that he is healthy, and has a new body, and is celebrating with Jesus. And I am overcome with sorrow for my own loss, and for my family and my mom. How do I conceive of a world that doesn't have Dad in it?
I keep thinking of a poem I always loved when I was younger. Dylan Thomas wrote a very famous piece when his father was dying which ends with the lines, "Do not go gentle into that good night./ Rage, rage against the dying of the light." I always thought this was truth, he was entreating his dad to fight for life, to fight to stay, and I loved Dylan Thomas because he was a genius, an artist with words, and he wrote brilliant poetry. But he was wrong.
Only if this is the only light we've known would we want to rage against its dying. But we know a Light far greater than any light we would see here. Rather than rage against losing what we cannot keep here, shouldn't we be running toward the greatest Light there is? My dad was not going to live short a miracle from God. His disease was painful and terrible and caused him unthinkable suffering. So, what a blessing that God gave us the gift to be with him, and see that he did go gently "into that good night", and to know that the light did not die, but that he is dancing in it in heaven!
"You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing to you and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever." (Psalm 30:11-12) That is true today for my dad, and I know it will be true for our family as well.
My dad loved us tremendously. I am the most blessed woman in the world to have been loved by the parents I was given, and I thank God for the honor. My dad was the one who gave me a glimpse into how much God must love us, if it was more than my dad did. And I know that his greatest sorrow was leaving us. But I also know we will see him again, and that he is in the presence of his first and greatest love, Jesus, who welcomed him with his most-desired words, "Well done, good and faithful servant."
"Better is one day in your house than a thousand elsewhere." (Psalm 84:10) Daddy, I'm so happy you're there. And I love you, and I'll be looking for you when I come.
To God be the glory.
2006-08-20
Well, we've been very busy here. School's starting for the kids, we've been setting up more concerts, and we've been over at my parent's a lot helping out with my dad.
Please take a second to head over to Indieheaven (the link is under the track list) and rate my song on their radio chart by clicking on "radio" and then the orange radio tower graphic - I'd really appreciate it! And if you're on myspace, come and say hello! You'll find me at myspace.com/shawjennifer.
God bless you, and thanks for visiting - drop me a line if there's anything I can do for you.
2006-08-03
Well, I've been spending some time over at myspace (myspace.com/shawjennifer)and I've had over 1000 plays in just the last few days. It's pretty crazy, I think. I've gotten emails from all over the country, as well as Bali, Australia, Ireland, Afganistan, the Netherlands, even a man in Korea asking my permission to translate my songs for use at his home church. God is amazing, and it's such a reminder that the family of God spans the world.
My song, Let There Be Light, is up to #5 on the Indieheaven radio chart(indieheaven.com - click on the orange radio tower graphic to go to the chart) - help me out and go and rate it! It's so fun to be up there with so many other great songs.
Also, I've got two songs, Be Still, and Let There Be Light in rotation at The Spirit Radio (tsrradio.net) - feel free to go and request me.
The more I pursue this, the more I think that I must, in everything I do, give all of this, all of it to God, and hold nothing back. Soli Deo Gloria - to God alone be the glory. How do you express your overwhelming love to your Savior who has given you everything? I guess that's why I write music. But even that, I know God has given to me. To God be the glory! I love you, Jesus.
My dad is somewhat stable but still doing very poorly. Thanks to everyone who has contacted me telling me that you are praying. We can feel it, and we appreciate you so much. Please visit his blog at davechilcoat.com if you have time, and see why I'm so proud of him!
2006-07-19
I've been getting some more radio play, both on the indieheaven radio chart, and at The Spirit Radio. On indieheaven, my song "Let There Be Light" is now up to #15, which is great, and on TSR, both "Let There Be Light" and "Be Still" are in rotation and have consistently made it into the day's Top Ten! Thanks to everyone who's been going and rating me, and feel free to keep it up!
I went to the studio last week and recorded a new song called "Godspeed". I was really pleased with the way it came out, but it was very hard to do as it's for my dad, and things really aren't looking good. For more information on that, please click on "story". We (my whole family) would really appreciate your prayers - it's been a very hard time for all of us. Please pray specifically for relief for my dad from the pain, and for my mom. Thanks.
I'll be booking more performance dates starting in the fall. Please let me know if there's any opportunity for me to minister near you. Thanks for checking out my page, and visit often!
2006-07-09
My song "Let There Be Light" got on the indieheaven radio chart last weekend at #129, and today I'm at #38! Pretty exciting - head over there by clicking the link under my tracklist, clicking "radio", and then clicking on the orange radio graphic and give me a rating. I'd love to be in the top 10! Thanks!
My concert at Karl Rd. Christian Church has been changed to August 19th at 7:30 and is following the church's 40th annual fish fry at 5:30. Tickets are needed for dinner, and I'll give you the prices when I have them. For more info, call the church at 614-888-3444.
I'm also headed down to Florida in September, and will do a set for the opening of Community Bible Study in Vero Beach on Sept. 15th at 9:30 am. We're also looking to set up another concert or two while we're down there.
On a personal note, my dad is really not doing well at this point, and the family would really appreciate your prayers. Thank you!
2006-07-02
I've launched a page at Indieheaven.com - go and check it out! Also, I applied to their radio chart and was accepted which is very cool. "Let There Be Light" is now on the charts! If you have a second, head over to http://www.indieheaven.com/go.idh?section=radiochart and give me a rating. You can help me move up the list! You can check out my indieheaven page by clicking on the graphic below my album track list, or on the words beside it. You can listen to the entire album there as well.
On the performance front, I'm going to be doing a full solo concert at Karl Rd. Christian Church on August 26th. I'll give more details as they get finalized. We had a wonderful concert in Grand Rapids, and really enjoyed all the wonderful people at the Covenant Village of the Great Lakes. They made us feel really welcome, so thanks!
